Kwame Trotman is Senior Vice President of Wireline Network Center & Business Operations (WNO), with responsibility for wireline network Business Operations, Operations Control Centers (OCC), the Fiber Solutions Center (FSC) and the local transport NOCs. His team is focused on leading technology, process, systems and tool optimization to deliver a best-in-class customer experience for Verizon’s consumer and business customers. His focus is on developing and implementing strategic initiatives, operationalizing new technology and driving business transformation for the field and center operations team of over 22K employees.
Prior to this assignment, Kwame was Vice President, Wireline Operations for the Mid-Atlantic South Region where he led an organization of over 3.5K team members responsible for building and operating the voice, broadband and video network serving Verizon’s consumer and business customers in the states of MD/DC/VA. His team was responsible for installing and maintaining the Verizon legacy core and Fios networks that connect millions of customers.
Prior to his role in Mid-Atlantic South, Kwame led Business Operations for Wireline Network Operations with responsibility for optimizing the processes, systems, and tools used by the wireline field and center operations team to deliver a best-in-class customer experience for the consumer and business groups. He also previously led Wireless Consumer Sales and Operations for the South East Region with responsibility for sales and operations of branded retail and indirect locations stores across 5 states. Kwame also led Wireless Customer Service Field Operations where he was responsible for overseeing day to day Operations for service centers in the states of OH, TN, SC and NC. Prior to this role Kwame led Verizon Partner Solutions with responsibility for Global Customer Ordering, Voice Product Marketing, Sales Engineering, and the FTTC Program Office, delivering operational support to Global Wholesale Customers, Sales and Marketing.
Kwame began his career in 1988 with Bell Atlantic holding positions of increasing responsibility across multiple business units in Verizon and its legacy companies. He started in the Wholesale organization where he was responsible for special circuit delivery for wholesale interexchange carriers in the Potomac region, holding subsequent positions as field supervisor, special services dispatch center manager, director of Customer Operations, Construction and FiOS/Core Installation and Maintenance.
Kwame earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Hampton University and a Master of Business Administration from Troy State University He served eight years honorably in the United States Marine Corps.
